Philosophy

We believe that human formation is critical to living out your purpose in life. Formation is learned in the classroom of life. It can be built up by doing hard things, in real places, alongside other people. "Formation-based travel" is one way to take a journey to a literal, faraway place, and grow in what it means to be human by testing yourself against reality. You don't need to travel to do this, but it's very clear and easy to see when you do. We design experiences and conversations so that an extraordinary journey comes home with you, into your daily work, your family life, and your ordinary days.

The core values of the Vistula Experience guide every decision we make, shaped by our time living and working in Poland. While the saints and heroes of Poland may differ from our own, they are grounded in universal virtues and ideals.

What Sets Us Apart

We are Americans who moved our family to Kraków for nearly three years. We learned the rhythms of the city, built friendships with priests and families and locals, and came home changed. The Vistula Experience exists because of how Poland changed us, and because we believe it can change those who are open to its wonders and beauty.
